OBD1 conversion
 
Im about to do a OBD2b to OBD1 conversion and some people tell me i need aN OBD1 dizzy and some people tell me i dont. LIL' HELP? If you think i do need one tell me why.

you don't need a obd1 distributor. 92+ distributors use the same sensors. The only difference between obd2 & obd1 is the plugs are different. i would stick to the obd2 distributor so that you don't have to do any wiring at the distributor.

Amen. If you're using an OBD1 ECU in an OBD2 car, you should just need an adapter harness.

match your wiring harness to the car ( obd #) , match your ecu to your engine and find a obd conversion harness to match the ecu you want to run. you can use a obd1 or 2 distributor, the wires are the same color on each distributor plugs, cut and swap out the plugs for what obd you want , obd 1 or 2.
