obd0 b18a1 intake manifold swap question...

alright so here's the deal... I got the idea of swapping out my intake manifold (90 b18a1) for one without the vacuum nonesense. well I found the guy at pick n pull; it was in a 91 da... also with an a1. so I pulled my manifold and im comparing them... almost everything is the same, except the iacv holes are quite a bit closer together. the number on my original mani is pr4 hf-2.... the other mani says pr4 hf-3. so my questions are, 1. what vehicle is this manifold from? 2. if it is an obd1 vehicle, is there a wiring difference for the iacv? 3. can I simply drill and tap the blank where the bolt hole would be? any help would be appreciated... I can send pics of the differences if needed, but only by text.

90-91 is still obd0, I'm sure there's no real difference beside what you notice with the IACV.

No stock intake manifold for an LS is going to do shit for you, even if it was an OBD1 manifold.

I don't have the slightest clue what you are talking about with the bolt holes, are you trying to put your original IACV on the different manifold you got?

You can get one used for like $5-$10, this is VaD after all.

Hell, it fits in your pocket, just gank one from pick n pull.

I went through all the obd0 integras today at pnp and oceana.. well the one da at oceana... and they all have the same intake manifold... the one im removing. and yeah, im using my original because I haven't figured out which b18 this manifold came from and there was no iac on it when I pulled it.

So for some reason your 90 has a unique IACV setup?

You said they are all B18A1's. It damn sure isn't a B18B1 or w/e.

Well you have both manifold's, and 1 IACV...

1. Use original manifold
2. Use original IACV

No prob, but unless you are going to convert to OBD1, then you won't gain anything, and the work would be pointless.

Save yourself the trouble, put it back to stock, and leave it as is til you are ready to actually do something worth a shit.
