so, we were doing some rewiring my ECU last night and my boy found that my field was causing all the problem so he tried wiring it back to "stock" and removed the SFC. this morning i drove to work and had no VTEC!!! she ran remarkably smooth though! weaker but smooth.... all for 1 damn wire, damn VTEC pressure!!!

 

i dont have vtec and mine runs smooth and FAST

 

VTEC sucks anyways. It was a blessing in disguise. Go NoTEC Turbo!

 

does your rpm go up past where vtec engauges?

 

yeah they still go up to 8500 i havent tried to go further...

 

on my boys gsr when the vtec pressure switch was fucked up..he only could hit vtec when he first started the car..after that his motor would tap at 5500

 

i couldnt hit it till the car warmed up though... for the first 5 min it would limit at 6500.......

 

weird...maybe thats how it is on the first gen's

 

i personally wouldnt take it up to 8500 w/o the vtec

 

i only did it once .....just to see what would happen
