Default no to little boost?? help

i have a 90 eclipse gsx i the turbo has been replace (the old one was locked up when i got the car) i have a manual boost controller and no matter what i do there is no /little boost ???? help i am ripping my hair out with this

Check the wastegate arm, make sure it is attached to the accuator arm on the turbo. If its disconnected, you wont see any boost at all, maybe 1psi max. Have you done a boost leak test yet?

the arm is attched.. boost leak test dont know how??

basically you hook a regulated boost source up to the inlet of your turbo and see if there are any leaks at any of the couplers on your charge pipes, intake manifold, etc..

My guess is that the wastegate actuator took a shit. The diaphrams on them fail after a while and give the same symptoms that you are describing.

the old turbo locked up so i took a tdo5 out of a volvo and swaped cart. does that have any thing to do with it

what is the best way to do a boost leak test i understand that you want to put it under pressure but how the hole is 2 inchs?????????
