new to hondas need advice

joel

im just going to list all my questions and thanks to all who write.

first off
my del slo has 97' USDM B18C5 Typer r engine 1.8L dohc Vtec
all internals are stock
it has Headers
GSR tranny
P28 ecu
Magnaflow exhaust
Stock clutch
AEM intake
Adjustable FPR
CTR Jspec single pulley

my questions are what websites would i look at for b18c5 parts?
what kind of clutch do i buy for a gsr tranny, i want somthing that grabs i dont like the stock feel.
if i upgrade my intake mani, should i upgrade my fuel rail and is there anything else i should install if i were to buy the victor x mani, W/ secondary fuel rail.
if its stock what bore is it and what upgraded pistons should i buy
and if i cut my valve cover to show my cam gears are there any problems im looking at later down the road.

like i said im new to hondas and i dont know very much so plz dont bash me for it.
thanks

well let me start of by sayin im not try to bash you or your thread, but your asking to many irrelevant questions. what u need to do is some reseach... to find out what the hell u want to build the c5 for. And that way more people will be gladly add there 2cents in. an not just bash your thread about your noob questions..

o an p.s. google is alway your friend!! lol

OP,

Your best bet is to visit www.honda-tech.com and skim/read the all motor section to try to get some pointers.

Things off of looking at your current setup.

I would makse sure that your exhaust is at least 2.5 inch's
Maybe a set of aftermarket cams, ITR's are good (which you currently have)
I would get a better header to help the exhaust flow
If the car is not already OBD1 then convert it to OBD1 and put a good fuel management on it (Hondata, or Crome).

Clutch: it really does not matter, but I like ACT and any b-series clutch will work as long as it is for the hydro trans (check part numbers)

Trans: try to find a LSD.

b16 trans > gsr trans - b16 trans has shorter ratios and is closer to an itr trans
i would get a competition stage 2 full disc clutch

p28 is a garbage program to run with that motor, chip your ecu or buy hondata.
p28 is made to run a sohc but will run nearly all obd1 engines (car will be really slow and have lower redline) - hondata will be your single greatest investment for making power

stock itr manifold is good, i wouldnt waste money on upgrading rite now
i wouldnt run the ctr crank pulley as it doesnt dampen vibration as much as a stock b18c5 pulley

stock bore is 81mm, u can get jdm p73-00 pistons in 81.25 mm bore if u want to do a fresh rebuild http://www.jhpusa.com/store/pc/viewP...idproduct=2078

you can go ahead and cut the valve cover without any problems, just make sure u measure correctly for asthetic purposes
