Need help with wrecked type R, Hub and wheel bearing ?'s
hello all, I have a integra that was hit in the right front. The frame shop said the spindle is bent and you can visually see it now that its been pulled. I was wondering if my type r hub and caliper would fit in a regular integra spindle? also what wheel bearings are interchangable?( regular integra?, prelude?)
Thanks in advance,-Jack

Re: Need help with wrecked type R, Hub and wheel bearing ?'s
So I got the ntn bearing number and ordered 2 koyo bearing today.
koyo, national and NTN are all one company now from what I understand. Any clarification is greatly appreciated as I spent 40 mins this morning trying to figure out what I needed and from where. NTN bearings are oem replacement for honda/acura and are used in cirbuit racing and nascar.
I got the bearings for 42 dollers a piece through IMC. I cant wait to get my spindle, bearings and extended studs.

Re: Need help with wrecked type R, Hub and wheel bearing ?'s
I think they're all different companies. They all make bearings for that car though I'm pretty sure, as do a few other brands like Timken and SKF if I remember. There are different types of bearings though, some are used for OEM replacement and some are higher quality (and higher price) and are more suitable for racing. There isn't any use for anything but OEM replacement types if it's a street car, so any of the quality brands should work just as well as any other.

you sir, are correct. After a headache digging through various parts catalogs I bought koyo bearings. Now I need a spindle. Thanks.
Hopefully this thing might see some tarmac in a couple months.
