Default need help tyring to identify my motor

I know most of you won't care but i just picked up 89 camaro and was told it was a 350 but it look's like an 305. So today i had some free time and went to find the engine castings and all i could find was a remanufactuerd tag on the block with the numbers 395711. If any camaro or domestic guys could help me out thanks in advanced

its on the rear of the block where the tranny connects...on the drivers side...and their also should be a flat spot by the water pump that has numbers stamped in it...

also if you can count the freeze plugs on the side...

im not sure but i think there is a diffrence in thiose with 305/350

well a goodwrench tag is normally black and silver...

but the casting numbers on the rear by the tranny will tell you most...

they will be covered in grease and oil...they are raised numbers so just take a rag and some brake cleaner and they should clean up easlily for you to read...
