the hard part isn't where to get an engine. actually, it'll be more difficult to find a harness. lengthening wiring harness will be difficult also!

i know were there is a complete ae101 equiped with a gze and complete wiring harness. prolly more pricey than just the engine...but you could always sell the ae101 parts for the difference. lemme know.
if you already have the 4ag, why not rebiuld and find a supercharger and intake manifold?

I dont know what i wanna do! I can get a stock jap spe4AGE motor for $700, a 20v for $1100, or a 4AGZE for $1100 also. i realy want to do the 20v cause it would be so much faster (from what i heard) but its so much money!! i dont realy wanna put that much money in to a car that need so much work to be done, Thats not even including parts and labor to put it in. Labor is around $650 and i have no clue how much the parts would be. I think im just gonna put the stock 4age in and just go from there, cause it so much less money then the other swaps and me and my boyz can put it in so im gonna save alot of money that i could be using for other shit that has to be done to make this car a bad ass drifter. You see i fairly new to the AE86s, so i dont know every thing i should do to this car to make it a good drifter, so if any one has one or has done mods or fixed one up in the past, pleasp let me know, because i realy need help with this one. I had no idea what i was getting my self into when i purched this car, Thats why i like a good chalenge.

I still have a 20v 4age silvertop available for sale. Comes with head, block, itbs, cut harness, ECU, coil, igniter. Asking $1000. I also have a bigport bluetop head and block sitting in my garage if you want to rebuild the stock Corolla GTS powerplant instead.

dude i paid like 400 for a high comp late model *(red top)*
so what ever you do dont pay 700 hundred . all you need is the complete motor . you Dont need the wire harness or computer to make it run everything in you car will do the job. i myself put the blue top head on the high comp block and my car makes loads of power. my friend just swapped on the tvis intake manifold to the red top and his car makes silly power also. dont try to get fancy with it like the 3sgte or twenty valve unless you have someone who is able to fabricate stuff for you or unless you have bottomless pockets. im not trying to discourage you, but give you cheaper and still very potential advice.
