ok i bought a 92 nissan 240se coupe well i changed the spark plugs and plug wires and it ildes very rought and the engine shakes and it spits and sputters when its idling almost wants to die but when i drive it it still spits and sputters and when i push the clutch in and stop the car dies anyone know what it might be or what i might have to fix and any suggestions or pointer if anyone know let me know thanx

Your timing could be way off or your ignition coil could be bad, other than that it could be a vacuum leak.

did it do that before you put plugs and wires on it?

vacuum leak. get some brake clean out. spray around engine/anything vacuum and if idle changes you found your problem.

last 240 i had that did same thing was the egr. took it off and blocked it off but had a bad vacuum leak and died every time trying to stop/slow down

Aside from what's been said...

Make sure you gapped the spark plugs correctly.

Check the MAF. Take it out and shoot some electrical cleaner into the tip. Then make sure you reconnect it tightly when you put it back on.

yeah i tried the electrical cleaner but as soon as i unplug the maf it idles fine but as soon as i plut it back it it startes idling like crazy shaking badly anyone ever have this problem???

Sounds like the maf is your problem. I can get you the resistance values on monday for the maf just to make sure. If you know someone with a good one, that would make it easier to tell.
