Unhappy Need help can't figure it out b18b

So I swapped a jdm b18b into my ef complete with intake mani throttle body and all..having an issue where it runs like crap and the intake manifold makes a popping sound..any ideas or solutions will be helpful..also the car had a usdm b18 LS in it before and it worked good..please help

intake valve spring making the valve not close completely, resulting in a cylinder misfire. use an obdi or obdii scanner to determine which one if you can, that's the easy way.

My car is an ef 4door it's obd0 ..can it be that I need to put my old intake manifold back on

If the plugs are in the proper order, check the valve lash. It could be set too tight not allowing the valve to close completely. Make sure its within spec at TDC for each cylinder.

the way you're describing the problem is if its sucking air from around the map sensor, put your obd0 intake on the engine an make sure you don't have any air leaks anywhere or anything of that nature......or leave that intake an pull map off make sure o-ring is there an make sure you're using the map sensor on the firewall of the car an it has a true vacuum source
