Default NEED ANSWER ASAP

Installed a new cluster today, everything works fine. But the engine temp gauge goes straight to hot even when the car is cold, and even when I unplugged the connector to the thermostat. Casr is a 92 accord f22 everything stock. What is a solution to this? could the coil in the cluster be bad? is my thermostat bad? is the sending unit to the gauge bad? someone help me real fast/ text or call 757 927 9639

Did you try changing out the new gauge back to the old gauge? If so, does it still do the same thing?

The needles were broken off the old gauge. The guy I bought it from had just taken it out his car and it worked fine.

But it worked perfect in his car which I don't uinderstand but I know my shit isn't overheatin, so it's not a big issue but i was thinking it could be something with the sending unit or the thermostat itself

Granted I know nothing of these Japanese cars, but I know on my car when a sender fails (or the plug is disconnected from a sender) the respective gauge pegs at the max.
