Default Need advice for replacing my soft top on 2001 S2000

Pretty basic...
I'm just looking to replace the soft top on my s2k due to the wear and a couple tears on it sometime in the near future, so I have a few questions.

I've heard about the soft tops they have on ebay for like 500 something and they have the glass window, however I don't know about the quality of them.

Anyways, for those of you that have chosen to replace your soft top, with a new soft top, where did you purchase your new soft top, how many skrillaz was it, and how would you rate the quality of it?

I'm really not trying to spend an arm and a leg on it, however, I'm also not trying to buy a piece of shit. So, best bang for the buck.

Thanks for the help

oh yaz, +rep for helpage

Don't get an aftermarket top.

I found my '04 top on eBay for like $400. It came off a car with 3K miles and the dude had installed a blue top.

If you're patient you can find a deal on a used top.

Pretty much.

And if you can expand your budget a bit I'd say get the newer frame as well.

'02+ is what you're looking for if you want the glass window. And I have no idea what they cost these days.

Alot. Your worst case is getting all brand new from hardtopguy.com and it's like 900. So used goes down from there. You'll want an 02+ top and frame.

Yah, what they said.

Try to get the whole deal. It will save you A LOT of headaches.

They pop up on S2Ki all the time.

P.S. What suspension is on your car? That thing looked pretty bouncy yesterday.

yea, i guess i'll really start to look sometime next month and just start saving some money for it.

the cars lowered on buddy club coilovers, and i'm pretty sure it's either on, or close to being on the stiffest settings, i haven't messed around with them at all yet so I'm really not sure, but yea, it's a bit bouncy right now.

I also need to install the rear rotors/pads along with the top hats or whatever they're called for the coilovers in the front. (too early in the morning for me to think)

I'll have to ride in one with a hardtop first before I go that route. I actually don't like driving the car with the top up right now, so I'm assuming with a hardtop it wont be much different. I just feel the blind spot on the drivers side is real bad with the top up and I don't feel that comfortable driving with it like that, maybe I just need to get used to the car or stop being a pussy haha
