My Truck is Running Rough :(
I've got a 1970 Chevy C10 with a 350. I was on my way from VA Tech to Lynchburg and after a few stoplights on 460 I realized that during acceleration my truck was running rough. I eventually pulled over into a gas station and unplugged all of the spark plug wires to make sure that they were securely fastened. That worked for a few miles, but then it started up again. Any Ideas? I recently changed the spark plugs and they were not corroded at all other than normal wear and tear.
Thanks, Eric |

plugs gapped right? wires look ok?

Re: My Truck is Running Rough :(
Yeah the plugs are gapped correctly and the wires were loose some time ago but that was fixed, but I did double check them and they were on all the way...I'm stumped. :(

Check the contacts under the distributor cap. They might need to be cleaned.

Re: My Truck is Running Rough :(
my truck was doing the same thing, it was the spark plug wires arcing(grounding) on various metal brackets. its a cheap thing to eliminate. give it a shot. gl
