Default My civic threw a code... P1337 (all jokes aside)

I went in for emissions....i have atleast a month before it expires atm, and whats funny is the check engine light wasnt turning on to show me there was a problem till i found out the CEL bulb was not there...some one must have got rid of it to get past emissions or something....anyways....now that i replaced the bulb (ordered from hondapartsdeals) i now need to find out how to fix this code...HT gives me...this description of P1337

P1337 Engine Speed (RPM) Fluctuation Sensor No Signal

Any other civic owners had this problem before? and can share with me what had to be done to fix it?

I don't know about this particular situation, but the ECU recieves the rpm signal from the distributor.. check your wiring from the dist. to the ECU, it should be a blue wire..

The code is for crank shaft fluctuation signal. The ecu uses it th help notice missfire. I have seen them get damaged normaly after a timing belt has been replaced. If the bracket that holds the wiring harness does not get bolted back on, the harness will rub the alternator belt. Look for damaged wires by the timing cover near the alternator belt. Or if no harness is there at all, then there is a possability the engine has been replaced with an earlier modle.
