My 02 altima doesn't want to start up.
Specs: 2002, Nissan Altima 2.5L S, Manual, Purchased around Feb-April 2008.
Issue: - Earlier today, I started the car but it bogs when I stepped on the gas pedal. This happened to me 1 or 2 times before in the year especially with a cold engine. The check engine light came on so I turned it off immediately and let it cool down. I checked the oil level and it was right at the low level line but not less(30%). I wanted to start the car again to move it out of the way real quick but it didn't want to start at all this time.
- You think I should buy a bottle of oil and fill it up at least to 60% and then try to start it ?
- Is it possible that the engine might be flooded ?
- Maybe a technical problem ?
Any help is appreciated. Thank you

Re: My 02 altima doesn't want to start up.
could be a fule issue...need to put a pressure guage on it and also a diagnostic machine...
i would definately fill the oil to the correct level and see what it wants to do...it should not be flodded being injected but its possible...
when it does start try to accelerate a little to clean the plugs....may have to feather it to get it to rev...

_ I filled some oil in it, then tried starting it. I saw that it wanted to start but with difficulty so I feather it consistent and it started some how but it still kept bogging. I had to keep feathering it for it to rev up. When I held the gas pedal consistently the RPM keesp going down and up constantly and it doesn't pass 2.5 RPM, If i press the gas pedal more the rpm goes down . So I am guessing its not getting enough fuel ?
Here is a video, the loud noise was when I pressed the gas pedal all the way.
Video is being processed but should work soon.

Raise your two step launch control. j/k.
I think someone above said Mas, which could cause symptoms similar to that. Do altimas have a backup map sensor? try unplugging the Mas and see what happens.
