MPFI wtf
OK. Did an mpfi swap a while back. When I first finished the swap, it ran limp mode, redlining at 3200. Messed with some wires for a while and made it work. Then I took out the ecu to try it on someone else's car and when I put it back in it was running limp again. I have re-wired everything and it's all perfect by the book. Throws a code 4 (Crank Position Sensor). Anyone ever experienced this? I don't know what I did to fix it the first time...
Thanks for any help

Re: MPFI wtf
If its anything like my car you need a (For Chevy's) C.A.S.E learn done. Its a process where the PCM re-learns the crankshaft position. Its usually done by a dealer with a scan tool.

Re: MPFI wtf
crank pistion sensor in a obd0 car is in the distrubitor.. i think dont hold me against that. try using another distrubitor and resetting your battery and see if that helps the problem. i know on my car there an crank pistion sensor near the crank pulley, but i know on a obd0 car its not there ( i had a b16 crx).. see if changing the dist. works..
