motor swap vtec to non and cel
is it bad to swap a vtecf22b1 96 accord ex, with a non vetch f22b2 and not have it hooked up it causes the cel to come on but can it harm the motor or anything in the long run??

Well if you jump the pin under the glove box it will tell the reason that the Cel is on. Also if you think about it you are most likely using a Vtec computer with a non-vtec engine. Now sit back and think about what is not hooked up the the VTEC ecu is looking for.
Will it hurt the motor most likely not, but the fuel maps are different so with that get a correct ecu to run the engine that is in the car.
