mini me ?
need some help. i have a 94 ex civic. the car has a d15b7 motor in it now do to ex motor blowing. i have a new vtec head casting number is p08-8,i still have the ex wiring harness as well. the d15 motor has 60k on it. my ? is what head gasket and timing belt do i run with this head , block combo. and is there anything i need to know aboutthat mit come up?

Yes use the y8 headgasket, due to being made of metal.
No, do NOT use the y8 timing belt. The issue with the timing belt is this. If you use the z6 timing belt, it will go on, tightly. People say at high rpms, it will whine a little bit. If you use the vx timing belt it will fit, loosely, but should not be too bad.
At the moment I have the d15b7/d16z6 mini me, using the z6 timing belt, and it never whines at any rpms. Just make sure the head you are using isn't warped and the block on the b7 is flat.
Use the ex dizzy as well. Speculation with many d-series people believe that if you use the z6 cam gear, your cam timing will be 4.5 degrees retarded, and to compensate you are supposed to use the y7/y8 camgear. I do not know if this is correct or not, but I am using the z6 gear.
Good luck and make sure it is done right.

I didn't want to start another thread but was wondering if someone could help me with doing a mini me...i have a d15b2 dx motor dpfi...i need to convert it to mpfi and wire up the vtec...im going to be using a complete d16z6 head...pm me if you can install for me
