Well my mom gotta slammin' deal on a miata from a friend. It's a 95 or 96 (I cant remember which) and my mom says its relatively problem free, except for one thing: it leaks around the front of the doors. My friend who also had a miata around the same years had the same problem. Is this a common problem? If so what can I do to remedy the problem. thanks in advance.

What do you mean, "around the front of the doors?" Leaks water into the car, or outside underneath..??

Does it have weather stripping on it? You could try replacing that because it could just be worn out or missing...

yeah I sure can. I'll try to do that tonight... I did some more investigating and all the weather stripping around the door APPEARS to be okay, but when i put the top down all this water ran out. I did abit of research and there's some sort of rain gutter with the top, we'll Im starting to believe that since this car sat for awhile, that the guter rotted out and it just drains straight into the car. I checked the car this morning and there was about a quarter inch standing water on the floorboards. I was hoping you were going to chyme in Cman... It looks exactly like the one in your sig.

I have a bit of a problem with water leaks, but that's because my top has a small tear in it above the driver door. Is it leaking from the part where the window seals to the top?
