What is a hybrid? I see people talking about hybrid civic and hybrid tranny's...what does it mean?

think about it for a second. its pretty self explanitory. something that has something different. maybe to better explain i'll use an example a civic hatch with an ls motor. (not trying to sound like a dick)

hybrid is this sense is a car with a motor that is from a different car. for instance, a b16 in a civic hb.

im a "hybrid" kinda.. some would argue.

it is either having a different engine in your car or you can make an engine hybrid by swapping out the head or the bottom end and etc...

gsr motor in a hatch...does not come stock therefore hybrid

say i have an ls tranny...it would be a hybrid tranny

h22 in crates car...didnt come stock..its a hybrid

that doesnt go for exhausts,and intakes though....motors and trannys is what most consider hybrid
