Default LS Question

So i just picked up a 92 da teg w/ a 95 ls motor. For some reason there is so much heat on my feet when i drive, like it is real hot. Got any ideas what to look for?

heat shield may have been taken off, exhaust may be pushed up close, hole in the floor board maybe, sound deadening( insulation) may have been stripped. hopefully its not some crazy electrical problem.

Sure the heat isn't on?? Maybe if you have it on where the air comes in from outside and towards the heat that might be it?

Heat coming from near your feet doesn't sound like an engine problem. Unless like stated above, heat shielding and insulation have been removed. but even then....

the heat was definetly not on, and i cant down under the car yet to see if the heat shield is gone. The interior insulation seems to be there, from what i can see.

check to see if the climate control switch is reading true. does it move with decent ease ALL THE WAY across from hot to cold? or does it stall or get tight before the ends?

it moves pretty smooth, but i found out today, it doesnt do it when the windows are up??
