straight off the top....best hydro
tranny for..........

1. boost is....
2. all motor is....
3. allmotor at the track is.....
4. all motor on the street is......
5. boost at the track........
6. boost on the street......
7. top end......
8. the best the tranny overall......

stock trannies as listed in the title, no LSD except for the ones that come stock with it....and the b16 tranny is an USDM.

just looking for you guys opinions

jason hunt from MD is using a b16 tranny.on his b20VT...he's street legal 9's

But personally i think b16 tranny is best overall...usdm type-r/b16 have same gear ratio and same final drive besides 00-01 itr's..LS too me is just good for big boost..But for 18psi or less id rather use the b16 tranny, cause you definetly will have no lag

Little off toppic, but would b16 gears work in a LS trany housing with a all motor ls/vtec set up?

hmmmm..when we set our car to 18psi and under the b16 tranny gears are perfect. 22psi-34psi 1st and 2nd are nonexistant you might as well start in 3rd..lol..but it's like 1,2,3 in like 2 seconds and it's all tires burning in 1st and 2nd then catch and drag in 3rd then shift and it's like 4th already.. That's my .02 on boost. On low boost I would do a b16 w/ high boost you want that long 3rd to put power down. crs
