Default loose timing belt

I have a B20VTEC with a B20B block and OBD1 B16 head, GSR timing belt, oil pump and water pump. I would like to know how to adjust the tension on the belt and or if i might have a serious problem. As far as i can tell, I caught this before I jumped any teeth and threw off timing but I am not completely sure of that.

never done a timing belt job on my car or any honda for that, BUT im almost positive its a mechanical tensioner which would me your tensioner is colapsed, id replace it. i mean they arent that much money and you got to go in there anyway! im sure someone can confirm this...

Make sure you aren't looking at the 'loose' side.

Take the TB cover off and check the whole belt.

no... the tensioner is bascially a big bearing the belt rides on it, theres nothing to colapse, to adjust it losen the 14mm bolt holding it tight, rotate the crank pully counter clock wise 3 teeth and re tighten, u can also take a screw driver and put under the tensioner and pry up a bit to get the belt a bit tighter.

there is no cover on the top half of the cover and when car is at idle, i can see that the belt looks loose.

Like I said, there's a 'tight' side and a 'loose' side.

NO that is not normal and is dangerous. RameyBuilt said it perfectly... Tighten the belt.

I would defiantly stop running that motor. Tensioner is not set right or not even tight. Re-adjust the tensioner with a little prybar help.
