Default limp idle

my car has a limp idle when i first start it and it stops when the car gets to normal operating temp. then when you give it gas after that it will limp idle for a minute and go back to a normal idle. what is making it do this? i've checked everything. didn't find and vaccum leaks and theres no check engine. i drive a 98 ek coupe with a d15b obd1 ecu setup

So you have a D15B and what other mods..?

Ans what do you mean by "limp"? What symptoms does it have: Is it idling too low RPM, or is is having problems regulating idle at a certain RPM, or does it have problems coming off idle when you press the gas pedal? Need more info..

A P28 isn't a D15B ECU, so has the P28 been chipped and properly tuned?

Your light flywheel can sometimes cause idle problems. The lower inertia can make the engine respond to idle changes faster than the ECU is tuned to expect, which can sometimes cause idle regulation problems (usually a wandering idle).

You might have a mild sensor problem, like a mis-adjusted TPS or a MAP going bad. Could be a fast idle thermo valve problem also, or a idle air control valve that needs cleaning.
