Re: KNOCK SENSOR OBD0,what the f???
LS vtec OBD0 (B16a head,B18B1 block,PR3 ecu)Brand new knock sensor, once the engine warms up it sets a sensor code shutting down vtec. Until the light comes on everything works fine, have retraced and rechecked the wiring to many times for it to be that. I have heard of this problem before but of course no one can tell me how to fix it. Any suggestions that aren't going to cost a fortune?

Get your PR3 chipped and get the knock sensor disabled. Knock sensors are very picky and ECU knock sensor programs (and hardware) are highly tuned to a specific engine setup, so if you have a B16 knock sensor on a LS block then you're probably going to have problems. The LS setup probably has a different harmonic frequency range than a B16.
I've used H22a/D16y8/B16/Type R knock sensors on my B16-turbo setup. Not once did I ever set a knock sensor code.
Like he said, just ditch the setup. Get a chipped ecu and sell that knock sensor for some money.

OK that sounds like a good idea, but will it keep the engine light off? Who and where chips obd0, and can it be tuned? Would it be easier to just convert to obd1? vtec now works even once it sets the knock sensor code, but that light drives me fucking crazy!!

Re: KNOCK SENSOR OBD0,what the f???
There should be a few people who can chip OBD0 stuff around there, I used to do that but I'm not in VA anymore. Disabling the knock sensor isn't disabling the check engine light, it's disabling the knock sensor input in the ECU program, so it doesn't look for a sensor or know that it's there. Therefore the light won't come on because there won't be a fault anymore. This is commonly done when using OBD1 DOHC VTEC ECUs with LS/VTEC swaps that don't have a knock sensor, and can be done with PR3/PW0 OBD0 ECUs also. The PR3/PW0 (OBD0) ECUs are very similar hardware as the OBD1 ECUs (all other OBD0 Honda ECUs are completely different hardware than OBD1) so are pretty well hacked by now.
As a side note, you can still use a stock program, you just need to have one value changed in the stock program to disable the knock sensor, then that will become your "chip". You can also have your rev limit, vtec crossover RPM, and speed limiter (JDM is usually 112 MPH I think) changed though while you're at it, and/or any tuning that needs to be done.
