Default Keep msd or not??

Im currently getting my turbo kit put on my integra gsr. My friend had a full msd ignition sitting around his house, and he sold it to me for $200. It is the msd 6al box, pro billet distributor(not cap), external coil, and all necessary wires and papers, to complete the kit. Im only going to be boosting 6 lbs, do you guys recommend I keep it, or should I sell the kit for? I know I could get around 600 for it. What kind of difference would this kit make on my car powerwise? Anyone else ever had a gsr with this msd setup? How was it?

Its a waste of money. Sell it. Unless you are making over 400whp there is without a doubt no need for msd shit. No point in hunting down electrical gremlins when you dont have to. The oem ignition when in good shape works awesome and i've seen 6-700whp made on it before.

Sell it and buy something else. You don't need it for the setup you are talking about.

i agree with everyone that is saying to keep it. I have MSD on my setup and i got it because with my stock ignition i kept fouling out plugs, and as soon as i switched to MSD(6al w/ SS blaster coil and cap) i stopped fouling plugs. Granted you can go without it, but it will help. Also i highly recomend the two step. That is the best part.

What heatrange plug were you running? You may have just had weak or old oem components as well. That is often the case.
