k20 swap
Im about to get a 92-95 hatch..Im building it strictly for racing (not my daily driver) I was wondering who has done a k-series swap? 1. Is it worth the money? 2. How much fabrication actually goes into the swap? is it harder than every other swap? Thanks

Re: k20 swap
The biggest "problem" with the swap is the money stand point, Nothing you have works. You need to buy so much stuff, from a fuel rail, to swap axles and a swap header just to get it to go, not to mention the $1000 engine management, and that is just to get it down the road.
Much cheaper to buy someone elses already swapped car (just the nature of the beast I know of 2 for sale on here and only one of them is mine LOL) then to build your own. But some people would rather build it them selves. I know I would.
Is it worth it, to me, yes. It is a much better platform from the get-go. We dynoed a stock 2.0 with a GOOD header, and an RBC manifold on Kpro, and made 222 @ the wheels. How much building on a B do you need to get there? We have a stock k20 turbo (same motor)that made 536@wheels on race gas...
Good luck whatever you decide.
K20a.org is also a good place to look around.

Re: k20 swap
Im doing my first kswap in my car...I've done them for other people but not my own..so with that said if you want we can build it together since I haven't started yet...you up for it?? Let me know...I can get the Type-S swaps for dirt cheap...I got mine for barely nothing...let me know if you up for a double build.
