i just started my project car and it threw a code 43 (43 Fuel supply system). today is the first time ive ever seen this code. ive just been trying to run all of the old gas out of the car because the inspection ion the car is from 6/06 so i have no clue how old it is but i know that the gas stinks like hell. i dont think its my fuel pump because its priming fine and the car will run for long periods of time after it cuts off like 2 times and i restart it.

Maybe the pump isn't pulling fuel like its supposed to... You may have insufficient fuel pressure or you have a clogged sock or filter...

im gonna replace the filter and pump like next week to see what happend, i was throwing 2 codes actually, 22 and 43. i checked the ecu wiring and the fucking retard had the wiring all fucked up so i fixed the vtec and reset the ecu and now im not throwing any codes at all....shits crazy

What are you working on? I have a new fuel pump for a Civic w/ new sock... I bought it when I was having my issues... After I fixed my car I took it back out... I paid like 180 for everything... I'll pitch it to ya for like 125?

Did you drain as much of the old gas from the tank as you could, or are you just trying to run it all through the engine?

i used a water hose to get most of it out till there was like an 8th of a tank and im just trying to run the rest out. is that bad? i ran the car for 30 minutes today and the code didnt come back... im currently running open header if that matters

If the code didn't come back I'd say you're probably fine. I wouldn't intentionally run bad gas through the tank if you can help it though, so you may want to throw some fuel stabilizer in it until you're ready to drive it, and then put some fresh gas in it to dilute the old stuff.
