Default jeep guys

I have a 91 wrangler, v6. When i downshifted going about 45 to 35 in town, i went to shift back up and nothing i have no more gears. I just pulled it and the clutch is decent. Anyone heard of this......

How much are these transmissions running for???????

What model trans is this?

Happened to me twice...lost a couple teeth on fourth gear. Didn't make a sound, nothing. Just no more gear. I ended up just replacing the gear. The gear wasn't that much but the labor too fix was a couple hundred. I would have torn it down myself if I had the time.

Sorry, missed your last question. Been a while but I am pretty sure the 6 cylinder is an ax-15. The 4 banger was an ax-5. Can't remember if yj's ever had a transmission change in their years. I know they changed transfer cases in '91.

I know at the time I wished I had just bought re-manufactured one especially after the second break. I could have got one for the same price I had it fixed...or it was really close. Anyway good luck on the heep.

shit i pulled it apart and checked things out, its weird, everything looked good. I pulled on the rods that actually shift, and it went in gear, the shiftr itself actually screwed up. I just hope it doesnt do it again or ill just replace.
