Default jdm-type R bogging down

I had a complete stock jdm type r swapped and running USDM type R map. Does anyone know why the car bog so much when accelerates? V-tec kicks in on and off sometimes. Still have old fuel filter and good new oil change. does it need to be tune?

thanks in advance

So you're running a chipped OBD1 ECU that supposedly has ITR maps in it?

Yes, i am running chipped ODBI with type r map. btw, there is a crack on red cover (cams cover) wonder if this could contribute to the bogging?

No, the cam cover is vented to the intake manifold anyway. That won't be a problem. If you're worried about it though, cam covers from any DOHC VTEC B-series engine will work if you want to replace it.

It's more likely you have a sensor or wiring problem. Or, the "Type R" maps that you have aren't actually Type R maps, because OBD1 Type Rs didn't exist. Take it to get tuned on a dyno, which is the best possible thing you can do for both drive-ability and power.

^^thanks. whenever i stepped on the paddle, car goes bog, bog, bog then starts accelerate. Sometimes, i feels like not enough gas coming in. I'll bring it back to where they swapped it.
