Default intercooler/charge piping size?

just got my new intercooler/charge piping today...

it is for 00' civic, w/ b20b, t3/t4, 7 to 12lbs of boost...

this is the piping i got, exactly like this from spoolin performance ,

http://www.spoolinperformance.com/eg...4be0db71bad45f

the piping size is 2" from the turbo to the intercooler, & 2.25" from the intercooler to the throttle body...

will that size be okay for me? should i have gotten bigger?

2in is a real good size for low to med boost unless you plan on running tons of boost stay small too big will hurt you lag, boost drop,etc..

That's fine..
The size doesn't matter that much, the time difference it takes to pressurize 2" vs. 2.5" vs 3" piping to a certain pressure is marginal, and the more important issue is piping size vs. piping length. The time it takes for the turbo to spool itself from one speed to another is much greater than the extra time that larger piping would take to pressurize. I hate the pipe size vs. lag myth, it's crap. People buy 28" long intercoolers that are only 6 inches tall and 2 or 2.5" deep and then worry about lag from their charge piping size. Backwards. It's like trying to put out a house fire with 50 feet of 3/4" garden hose and 2 feet of 4" fire hose and worrying if the fire hose will be the problem.

If you have piping that's on the small side for your application, and you're running a long length of pipe, you're going to have flow restriction problems. If you have fairly direct routing paths, 2" should be fine.

Shoulda got it ceramic coated or powdercoated. I don't like bling, that's my personal tastes though. I like to keep it subtle, no polish or chrome..
