Default Intakes

I was looking at intakes on Importperformance.com ;what is a V2 intake?

I have an AEM Cold Air intake in my teg, and am thinking of taking it out and puttin in a short ram because from what I hear if it gets water init im screwed.

So should I go with V2 intake or shortram, or keep cold air?

if you put a bypass valve on your cold air intake, you'll be safe if it sucks up water.

a v2 intake is one made by AEM. it is designed to efficiently cram air into the intake.

the V2 is a cold air intake. it is just an intake with varying tube diameter.
The Short ram is just meant to be less restrictive than the stock system.

If you want to be safe, just put a bypass valve on there and you'll be ok.

Cool Re: Intakes

Yup, cold air with a by-pass would be your best bet. But I dont think you can use a by-pass with the V2.

If you just want that sound, cough ricer cough, grab an ebay short ram. They are very cheap and provide the same results as most others. 3" ebay tube with AEM dry-flo FTW. I'd have that combo if I wasn't FI
