Default intake help!!!

my friend has a aem short ram intake that came off his hatch. its a d16y7. i have a 2000 civic ex thats a d16y8. there werent enough holes in the intake for all the plug. it had one plug and a hole for the sensor. but the sensor wouldnt fit in it. an i have 2 other plugs to go in it besides the sensor. is it just all in all not compatible or do i not need all the plugs? he said his cousin has the same car as me and he just didnt use all the plugs.. is this ok? help. should i jus buy a better compatable one for more?
