Default Installing RC 550cc Injectors...

when installing RC550cc Injectors or larger,

do they just "sit on top" of the rubber o-ring/gasket
on Intake manifold side, or do they actually fit inside??

thanks in adavance for the help

try putting the gaskets on the injectors themselves and then tighten down. you can alos put some lube on the outside of the washer, might help.

I just talked to one of my buddies w/ RC750's & he says his are just sitting on top..

when he put them in, naturally you would think they should slip inside,
he said he was iffy about the fitment also, but they just sit on top & seal up fine...

anybody actually have or had these injectors & have installed them?

Yes, i have run 550 and 750, the lower diameter of the nozzle is slightly larger than OEM. First time i opened mine up with a dremel....BAD IDEA. When i tightened down the rail, i still got fuel leaks.

Just let them sit on top of the o-ring. The tension from the fuel rail will keep them snug.

Paul, had the same issue? Put the Injectors in the Manifold, push in as far as they will go, put the fuel rail on, push on rail and screw the 3 nuts down tight. At first I couldnt get the fuel rail far enough down to reach and bolt in. Just press down hard and thay should go. I ripped an O-ring in the process, so check when your done. Later
