installing a CAI in a 1994 honda accord
 

i recently bought an intake for my 1994 honda accord coupe and when i tried to install it i came across a problem. there is a part called the RESONATOR that hooks into the bottom of the stock intake and it has to be removed in order to install the new intake. and i dont know what to do with it. . im not sure if it would mess the car up to just take it out. so if anyone knows how to install the CAI please let me know

take the pass front wheel off then get in there with a ratchet (10mm most likely) and take it off. that box is designed to keep the air flowing in the engine quiet when using the stock air box. with the cai you no longer need this.

You may end up with little hoses that no longer have anywhere to go (little ones)
Just trace them to source, and block them off.

There maybe a little sensor as well that is attached to one of the little vacuum lines....
I removed it on mine, so no probs there.


You can't really mess anything up with the install of this...
Unless u drop ur car on ur foot or sumtin

ok its not the air box im talking about... there is a box w a bunch of little hoses hooked to it. then coming out of the box there is a larger flat hose that hooks into the bottom of the stock intake... but i think gomper knows what im talking about so thanks.

it sits basicly where the pipe bends beside the battery under the stock intake

rip it out
