Default ignition issue

lately when go to turn the car somtimes itll crank sometimes it wont. everything that turns on when car is in start position turns on but the car doesnt crank. it used to do it every now and then but its more frequent now. checked the wiring to the ignition switch and everything looks to be good. im thinking its the ignition switch but im wondering should i change that along with the keylock also, or if there are any ideas as to what else it could be, let me know. btw the car is a 96 240sx. thanx.

Check the contacts on your starter and battery. Good luck.

I agree... check the starter.... if that's not the problem, try "turning over" the motor by hand... do a few full rotation. This is to check if the motor is not seized or locked up....
