hydrolocked d16z6.......NEED HELP FAST
im in desperate need of some help
I Have a 95 civic ex and saturday night i sucked water up through my aem cold air intake. The motor locked up instantly. So i pulled the spark plugs out, spun the motor over to clear out the water and put the dry plugs back in. I then proceeded to try and start the car, it wasnt easy but after a lil starting fluid in the intake it cranked and ran. Although it ran with a horrible knock. My guess was that i spun a rod bearing, either that or knocked loose alot of carbon. Anyways, as i was letting the engine "dry out" by revving it up a lilttel bit......all of a sudden parts went flying everywhere and that was due to the softball sized hole in the block. I found a motor out of a 98 Ex (d16y8 i think), and im trying to do this swap...........my question is: what will i have to change? can i use my computer? ANY INFO WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
ps.....im in a hurry

I had a friend that got hydrol locka nd he towed his car to a shop and they attatched some kinda vacuum to his TB and sucked most of the water out. then let the engine sit for a couple days to let the ater evap and when he came back the car ran fine. but don't keep trying to start the car because your only running the watter deeper into your shit.

ummmm ..... Might be a little odd, but where did you get the motor? I hydrolocked mine last fall and didn't bother to keep track of it. (looks fine on the outside but is pretty f***ed). Put up or pm the vin # if you don't know exactly where it came from. Don't want you to go through a lot of work for nothin.
So far as doing the swap..... I think most stuff should be the same except for the mounts. ECU should work
