what needs to be done to get an obd-1 engine into a pre obd car

92-95 engine into 88-91 civic

i basicaly mean wiring stuff.

what exactly do you mean? just change the ecu. if so what about all of the wiring, i dont think it plugs in. what wire harness would you use, the 88 or the 92?

thanks. you also have to use pre obd distributer and injectors right. and what exactly do you mean by "switch it around"

If you aren't very knowledgable with converting the wiring I'd check out HASport.com You can buy the complete wiring harness from them.

most wiring harnesses are the same. the only "wiring" you'll need to do id vtec and knock at the least. but to change the On Board Diagnostics of any motor, all you have to change is the distributor, injectors and computer. and sometimes an adapter harness for the ecu.
