honda civic rear quarter panel problems.
Name: Anthony
Car: 93 honda civic hatchback
To make a long story short i got a good deal on a 1993 honda civic hatchback but the driver side rear quarterpanel is pretty banged up rusted out and had pulled away from the finderwell. well after some more going over the car when i got it home i realize the car had been in a front end collision somewhere down the road and the frame is slightly pushed together torwards the center of the car and the front end had been kinda repaired.
so my question is will this just be a normal cut the rear panel out and weld back in or am i gonna run into some problems cause the frame is off and makes the panel bow out. need to figure a teparary fix for the moment to before i can buy the panels.

You better of gotten one hell of a deal. Like for free. But does the door open and close fine? Does it appear to line up alright? It would of had to been a hard front impact for it to effect the rear.

Re: honda civic rear quarter panel problems.
yeah i got it pretty cheap so im just trying to have a project beater. and the door opens and closes but not like butter like it should and when closed it is about 1/8 inch out of alignment with the quarterpanel. and yeah i dont see how it effected it either but seems like the impact was more centered torwards the driver side. passenger side was not effected frame wise

Most likely needs to be put on a frame machine and straightened out. If you look in the vendor review or sponsor marketplace, there is a thread started about affordable automotive. The owner is Duane. I forget his name on here. If you pm him he could tell you more about the problem. Not sure where you are located but his shop is in Hampton.
