Default Honda ?

IM wondering do honda of WOT switchs to cut off the alternator draw to increase power?

i know the scucki(sp?) swift has and i heard some other car manifactures have it..

The WRC Focus has a really cool system to do that, it actually shuts off all the unnecessary stuff to allow a lot smaller alternator for less HP loss. The load switching scheme is really, really cool...

I don't remember what happens when the field collapses on an alternator, it may become a big load, so you may have to design the system from the ground up if you want to do that. That's most likely what Suzuki did for the little tin can swift.. Kinda funny to not have enough power to spin an alternator.. =)
I don't think Honda does any alternator shut off, just air conditioning.

oh ok thanks man. I guess if fabercated(sp?) a a/c clutch on the alternator then how up a wot swith to break the circuit when activated

or just put a breaker on it and turn it on and off at will but just remember if the alt is not charging the ele system is not running at full charge!!!!!!!
