Default Holset Turbo questions

whats up....I was wondering if anyone knew any info on the Holset turbos. i came across a Holset HX40W for free....the entire turbo, needs a rebuild.. but the thing is pretty big...but my .63ar exhuast housing will fit right on it...So i was wondering if anyknow had any flow charts for this turbo? or have seen/used one before...Wondering what this turbo compares to if it were a Garrett turbo....any info is cool. here the pics.

yeah no shit, ya think, I have...but they are made for TRUCKS....big diesel trucks, so the shit tells me nothing. thats why im looking for people who have used the shit, thats wtf the forums are for.....this is all i can find http://www.holset.co.uk/files/2_1_1_4-Holset%20HX40.php and there is no way this turbo can only support 350whp......hoping they are talking about for the trucks.?

There are about 20 different HX40 variants if I remember. They're diesel truck turbos usually, most are rated (on trucks) between 350 and 500 HP I think. I wouldn't bother putting it whatever engine you have unless you can get some compressor maps to see how well it will work on your setup. A free turbo isn't a good deal if it isn't going to perform well, so I'd do the research first.
If you're going to have to spend (waste?) money on a rebuild, I'd find something better suited to what you want to do, and spend money on that instead.

I've seen quite a few DSM's running HX35's and HX40's. I think Bullseye makes exhaust housings for them so they can bolt up to a stock DSM exhaust manifold...
