I was hoping maybe someone could shed some light on an issue I've been having with my 5spd 94 accord ex. At about 1.8rpm's, the heat shield surrounding the catalytic converter (i've been told) makes a really annoying rattling, and it has gotten progressively louder over the last few months. If I give the car more gas than usual, the sound is almost non existant. It's more of an annoyance, but I was hoping someone had a similar problem and came up with a solution.

And if anyone wants to make some cash and fix this, that would be be awesome as well.

go to a big als and tell them the heat shield is rattling and you want it knocked off...they'll just cut the bitch off with an acetlyene torch and probably only charge you about $5 to do it, they get loose and rattle all the time.

I think it may be the cat going bad, anyone have any suggestions on replacing/fixing the problem the most economical way possible?

my da dose it at exactlyy 3000 rpms and stops right as i pass that i was told the same thing the heatshield
