Help! Stripped out torx bolt
Ok so today i decided to start my steering wheel swap. Well as i start i pull the plastic peices off the side of the wheel so i can remove the airbag. I notice that hey the T-50 Tamper proof torx bolts are fucked up. Looks as if someone has tried or has removed the steering wheel before using improper tools. Well needless to say the torx bit wont do shit to remove them. Anyone have experience with this? How do i get these bitches out?

Re: Help! Stripped out torx bolt
Take a tork bit slightly bigger than that area and smah it in with a hammer until its secure. Thats really the only advice that I have, I haven;t had to deal with this problem before.

Re: Help! Stripped out torx bolt
this has happened to me before
this is what you do
1. dremel out the nipple in the center
2. one of the standerd allenkeys will fit, kinda. it will be a tight squzze, you gotta wiggle & tap it in (gently so you can get it out)
3. use a redneck breaker bar (the round end of a wrench) and twist that sucker out.
or
1. dremel a slot into the head
2. either find a large removible flat head bit and the socket that fits it
or drill a hole thru the end of the screwdriver and insert a large extention and twist that fucker out
oooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrr................
1. drill a hole in the center of the bolt
2. use an easy out
getteo engnering at its finest....
