Question Help needed: Floor jack info

Just yesterday I went to Sears and bought a new 3 ton floor jack but when I went home and used it its not what I expected. It wont go as high as my old Advanced cheap one did and it's to tall to go under my barely lowered 08 civic. I feel that I should look for another one that does what I need.

Things im looking for is a low profile since I have a lowered car and most of my friends cars are too. Also not looking to get a very cheap one since they seem to keep going bad.

I know there is a few local places like Nothern tool and Harbor Freight but I'm not sure if their jack's would be any good.

Any help from anyone that is happy with their floor jack's is appreciated.

Link to the one I bought:

I may be returning this one tonight and would like to be able to pick one up locally and look at it before I buy vs having it shipped or buying online.

Thanks, Carlos

I don't buy everything in the store, but have seen it and it looks decent. I use an old low profile aluminum one that is easier to lift over the side of the truck. The one posted is more of a shop jack. Lowers a full inch more than the one you recently bought.
