HELP!! with misfires on my tegra!!!
Hi i have a 96 integra ls obd2. this is my problem and its been going on for about a month now and I ran in to a wall so please if u have ANY suggestion just throw them out there anything would help! I had someone change my head gasket and soon after that my car started throwing these codes p0301 (misfire in cylinder 1) (p0302 misfire in cylinder) (p0171 system is too lean bank 1) (p1300 random misfires)..I did the complete tune up NGK everything. Thinking that it was going to go away but nothing. the car doesn’t run like it has a misfire its pretty smooth. And it had been about a month since the check engine light had turned up so I thought the problem was fixed but it jus turned on last night ……….please any help would be APPRICIATED

during tune up i changed the spark plugs, wires, distributer cap, rotor, oil change fule filter..all name brand!!
i cleared the codes about 10 time but they werent all misfires some codes were about the "system runing to lean" and "low volts to da o2 sensor"

did you run into a wall figuratively speaking or in reality? And you changed your head gasket- what size did you change from...and what size did you change to?

Ahhh, the rest of the story comes out. It sounds like you're having a O2 sensor problem, which could easily cause the lean condition and very likely the misfires as well. It could be a wiring problem, or a problem with the sensor itself.

If the Headgasket was changed, its possible timing could be off as well.
Is it boosted? (saw your name)
Does the check engine light come back on immediatley or right after driving?

Could be a distributor problem too, because that's where the cam and crank position sensors are. This is probably unrelated to the head gasket replacement unless something external was damaged during the install.
