Help me install this radio!
I have a cd player that I just put in and i'm not shure how to get the clock and preset channels to save. I know that I hooked it up right, but I need to know if the yellow wire is supposed to have a fuse on it, because I think it used to have it when it was in my old car.
Everything works except the stupid clock and channels!

There should be a spare fused accessory power in the fuse box you can splice off of. Just poke around with a multimeter to find something

Re: Help me install this radio!
If theres a fuse on the radio then it probably doesn't need it on the power wire. Some radios have it on the wire, such as Alpine, the majority don't.

what kind of car is it......and also on every car there is two power wires. A constant and an accessory. If you hooked up all the radio power wires just to the accessory thats why you losing you clock and presets. Make sure you have it wired correctly. Depending on the car I could even help you out.
