Find the pinout for the low beam and put a voltage meter on it and check for 12v

possible broken or pinched wire

Im having the same problem with my driver side. Its on a 90 240sx. I used a voltmeter. Everything has power, but I think the drive lights lost its ground. Traced it back to the relay box. There is continuity from the ground connector to a few different relays (albeit they all deal with the headlight in some way shape or form). Any ideas? Sorry to hijack your thread OP. Maybe it will help both of us?

If it was a ground I wouldn't have high beam on that side either, have to check for voltage with a meter

Well with mine its set up so there can be a ground for high beams and low beams seperately. What type of car is it?

If there are separate headlight relays for the left and right sides, it could be wiring or a relay. If there is a shared relay for the left and right sides, it must be a wiring problem (or something equally as simple like a broken/corroded bulb socket. Basically if both headlights get power from the same place, and one headlight is getting power, obviously the problem is between the (non-functioning) headlight and the source of power.

A multimeter will tell you everything you need to know.

just a thought...there is a black box in driver side kick panel that is your H/L CONTROL ASSY. that could have gone bad. try find some at junkyards and swapping it out...see if that changes.

i sold the last 2 i had on ebay last week, but this is what they look like.

like i said...dont know if thats your issue.

for example...there is also a white box down in that area too. if that goes bad your gauge cluster does not illuminate.
