Question h22 turbo project help?

i have done alot of reseach on the subject of turboing an h22a4. i know about the open deck and stock sleeve issues. it can all be pretty scary since i am new to turboed cars and all. i have all my parts as of right now for the build except the turbo kit and engine management. i want to reach as close to 400 whp if possible without blowing the engine!
this is what i have,
h22a4 block stock rebuild with 5k on it
mahle gold series 9.0:1 pistons
stock rods
built by magnum machine in chesapeke va.
h22a head ported and polished
supertech black nitride forged high comp valves
supertech titanium retainers
supertech springs
3 angle valve job
skunk2 pro series im with omni performance 70mm tb port matched
rc 440 injectors
no name fpr
no name underdrive pulley
i know i will get some thrashing about the pulley and fpr being no name peices and i may not need or use them, i also know i need a fuel pump and cam gears they are on the list as well. my question is what turbo would be good to get me close to my goal number as well as still be streetable and somewhat reliable? thanks

What is your budget as far as the turbo is concerned? The norm for the Honda B, D, H & K series motors centers around Garrett, Borg Warner, Precision & often times, Turbonetics.

For crisp spool, you can't beat the Garrett GT-3076R ball bearing for that particular goal. You can also look into something in the 60-1 family from Garrett, hell even a standard T3/T04E 57 or 60 trim.

The new Precision billet wheel units are pretty nice and make huge power. The 5557 or 5857 will net that 400 without a hiccup. Also look into the Borg Warner S series, preferably the S256 ETT or S258 ETT.

With that being said however, your 440 cc injectors will not net you the 400. Typically, it would take at least 650cc (or higher) injectors to make that power on these motors. RC makes a high impedance 750, for the elimination of a resistor box. I have heard horror stories about them locking up, but in my experience with my 750's, I had zero problems with them on my DA. Made 489 whp before maxing them out on a billet Precision 6262. The Injector Dynamics 1000 cc injectors are where it's at, though. They idle like stock, are high impedance, and can hold up to 100 psi of base fuel pressure. Not that you're gonna need that much FP, but pretty badass, nonetheless.

So, budget aside, you have plenty of options for that particular power goal. Good luck with what you decide.
