Default H22 clutch and throttle "lag"

Whats up,
I have an H22 S-spec in my 93 accord. Recently, like the past two days, I have found that I can push my clutch pedal in around and inch to two inchs before it engages? What could be wrong? Also, the same thing has happened with my gas pedal, when i push it in a little it does not register for around a second and then the rpms jump up. Please any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would be really surprised if they were related. Your clutch is hydraulic, and your throttle is cable actuated, so I can't really picture how they could affect one another. However, if your clutch isn't getting engaged/disengaged properly, that could be causing a slight load on the engine and causing the throttle problems, IF the throttle problems are only happening under certain conditions.

The throttle problem you're talking about.. Is it only like that when at idle, or is it like that cruising down the road in gear too?

It is mostly only happening when getting out of first but has happened when in second. Like ill have my foot on the throttle not moving it, and itll disengage then pick back up, but it only happens when it isnt pushed down very far, could it be a loose cable?

Yeah, could be a loose cable. Check on both ends; the engine and pedal side could be loose if that's the case.. I still think the clutch issue is probably unrelated.

For the clutch "issue" you may want to try adjusting the rod that comes out of the clutch master cylinder to the pedal. There is a 12 mm locknut that would need to be loosened before the adjustment is made.
