Is anyone good at wiring or solving a vtec problem it's probally in wiring it's tuned on hondata and has no balance shaft timming belt for some reason starts up and drives great just no vtec please help anybody? It's a h22a4 in eg

ok ! i dont understand how dont you have a balancer shaft belt or how is your timming belt is being tension with out one, but anyway was your vtec workin before? more info on what your wire condition is ?? check your sensor ,oil etc...

I bought car like this and for some reason I read online the take that belt off for faster acceleration don't make much sense to me
I want to put one back on I just hope it don't affect tune

No one knows anything about your car, except that it's an EG with an H22. What ECU are you using, how was the swap wiring done, did your shadetree buddy who likes to twist wires together an wrap them with electrical tape work on the car, how long has this been a problem, are there any check engine lights, have you checked the oil level, does your speedometer work....?

uh, the balance shaft belt doesnt have shit to do with vtec.

you dont need it to run.

do you have oil pressure?

low oil?

those are things the ecu uses to cut vtec.

are you studdering or just running full up to 7k on the low cam?

i have never owned/drove/rode in a civic or anything with vtec

so what exactly is it? like how do you know when it kicks in??
